Overnight HHA / CNA Responsibilities
As an Overnight Home Health Aide or CNA, you'll provide personal care and support under the supervision of Elite's nursing team and according to the patient's individualized Plan of Care.
Responsibilities may include:
- Assisting with overnight personal care, including toileting, hygiene, dressing, and repositioning
- Helping with safe mobility, transfers, and ambulation as directed
- Providing comfort and reassurance throughout the night
- Responding to the patient's care needs during assigned overnight hours
- Observing and reporting changes in the patient's condition
- Assisting with household tasks essential to the patient's care, as assigned
- Assisting with self-administered medications only as permitted by applicable requirements and Elite policy
- Completing accurate and timely care documentation
- Following infection-control, safety, and patient-confidentiality procedures
- Communicating effectively with the patient, family, and supervising nurse
Qualifications
- Current HHA or CNA qualification, or willingness to complete applicable Home Health Aide training
- At least 18 years of age
- Dependable and able to work assigned overnight shifts
- Ability to read, write, communicate effectively, and follow the patient's Plan of Care
- Reliable transportation to the assigned patient location in Indianapolis 46217
- Ability to safely perform assigned personal-care and physical duties
- Willingness to complete applicable training, competency evaluation, screening, and employment requirements
Previous home health, CNA, overnight caregiving, private duty, or personal-care experience is valued.
